Based on capital, underwriting and M&A advisory activity, and the number of Financial Advisors and branch offices, Baird is one of the U.S.’s largest securities firms headquartered outside New York. We employ more than 2,300 employees in the U.S., Europe and Asia.

Excess account protection, provided through Customer Asset Protection Company (CAPCO), covers the net equity of all cash and securities of clients on deposit with Baird, which is the broadest protection available.

Baird’s principal operating subsidiaries are Robert W. Baird & Co. in the United States and Robert W. Baird Group Ltd. in Europe. We also have an operating subsidiary in Asia supporting our private equity operations.

Baird Holding Company’s total capital was $614 million as of December 31, 2007.2 The regulatory net capital of Robert W. Baird & Co. was $197 million and its regulatory excess net capital was $190 million as of December 31, 2007.
